Job Description

Job Title: Windows Server / PowerShell Engineer Consultant Duration : 12 months with extension possible to 18 months
Charlotte, NC (3 days per week onsite)
Matlen Silver has partnered with a leading global financial services firm to recruit a Windows Server Engineer with experience in PowerShell scripting that will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining automation frameworks that implement security-driven configuration changes across Windows servers, workstations, and Active Directory infrastructure in response to common vulnerabilities and emergent threats. You will partner closely with cybersecurity teams to operationalize advisories and with Active Directory platform teams to ensure changes align with enterprise standards.

Automating GPO creation, modification, and rollback Automating Windows and application patch deployment
Creating AD-safe configuration enforcement workflows
Building guardrails that prevent unsafe or partial deployments
Active Directory, Windows Server, and PowerShell
Group Policy internals and management tools
Windows Server and Windows client internals
Configuration management (SCCM)
Automated systems validation testing experience is a big plus
