Loan Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a relationship-driven Loan Officer to join a growing financial institution. This individual will be responsible for developing new lending relationships, guiding clients through the loan process, and building a strong network of referral partners within the local market.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients
• Originate new loan opportunities through networking, referrals, and business development
• Guide borrowers through the application, approval, and closing process
• Evaluate borrower needs and recommend appropriate lending solutions
• Collect and review financial documentation for loan applications
• Partner with underwriting, processing, and closing teams to ensure a smooth client experience
• Build relationships with real estate professionals, business owners, financial advisors, and other referral partners
• Maintain an active pipeline and follow up consistently with prospects and clients
• Ensure all lending activities comply with applicable policies and regulatory requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Previous lending, banking, mortgage, or financial services experience preferred
• Strong sales and business development skills
• Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage a pipeline independently
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Comfortable networking and developing referral relationships
• Knowledge of lending regulations and loan documentation is a plus
