Job Description
A well established, midtown asset manager is looking for someone who's raised institutional money before — not managed a territory, not "supported" a raise, but personally gotten a pension, endowment, or insurance allocator to say yes and cut a check.
You'll be building relationships and closing mandates largely on your own hustle, with real ownership over the outcome and real upside if you deliver.

- Work closely with the investment team to sharpen the pitch and know the strategy cold
- Build pipeline from scratch — this is a hunter role, not a farmer role
What you need to have
- 5–15 years in institutional sales/business development at an asset manager (traditional, hedge fund, private credit, real assets)
- A specific list of institutional relationships you have personally raised assets from — name the allocators, approximate size of the mandates, and roughly when they closed.
- Those relationships need to skew east of the Rockies — pensions, endowments, insurers, or consultants based in the Midwest or East Coast
- Based in or willing to be in the NYC area
