Job Description

Director/VP, Product Development (color cosmetics) Employment Type: Contract
Location: Remote with occasional travel in the Tri State Area
Lead end-to-end makeup product development for a consumer beauty organization, from concept through launch. Drive formula, packaging, vendor, testing, and cross-functional development activities.

Develop product, formula, and packaging briefs.
Lead innovation pipelines, testing, approvals, and launch readiness.
Manage formulators, manufacturers, and packaging suppliers.
Review formulas, shades, samples, specifications, and quality requirements.
Partner with marketing, creative, operations, sales, education, and regulatory teams.
Track timelines, risks, documentation, and project dependencies.

Bachelor’s degree required.
~4–8 years of beauty, cosmetics, or consumer product development experience.
~ Experience developing makeup formulas and packaging.
~ Strong vendor management and project management skills.
