Cost Accounting Manager

Job Description

Every product has a story told in numbers: material costs, labor, overhead, margin. We're looking for a Cost Accounting Manager who can own that story from end to end and use it to help leadership make sharper decisions.

What You'll Take On

• Lead standard costing processes, including setting, reviewing, and updating standard costs
• Analyze cost variances (material, labor, overhead) and explain the "why" behind the numbers
• Own inventory accounting and valuation, ensuring accuracy across the balance sheet
• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to understand cost drivers and identify margin improvement opportunities
• Support month-end close activities related to cost accounting and inventory
• Build and maintain costing models to support new product launches and pricing decisions
• Strengthen internal controls around inventory and cost accounting processes
• Manage and develop cost accounting staff
• Support physical inventory counts and reconciliation processes

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA a plus
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with meaningful cost accounting or manufacturing accounting exposure
• Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation
• Comfortable partnering directly with Operations and Supply Chain teams
• Prior experience managing or mentoring staff a plus
• Sharp analytical instincts and comfort translating cost data into actionable insight
