Project Finance Officer – Energy

Job Description

Robert Half Financial Services is recruiting for a Project Finance Officer role for a boutique International Bank located in midtown Manhattan, New York. Our client requires 3+ years of Project Finance experience at a Bank or Financial Institution, with knowledge of renewable energy, credit analysis, due diligence, ratings, and cash flow. This role is hybrid remote requiring 2 days per week in the midtown Manhattan New York office.
Lead the credit process on new project finance transactions
Monitor existing project finance transactions
Conduct due diligence (credit analysis) on new project finance transactions, prepare credit applications and internal rating proposals for all new transactions, present transactions internally, and manage the credit process with the Credit Department
Manage the documentation process of project finance transactions with the Branch’s legal team
Monitor and manage existing project finance transactions, including the review and processing of waivers and amendments, the review of internal ratings, and internal reports
Explore and build relationships with new sponsors, financial advisor (FAs), and lenders to find new opportunities in project finance
Understand external regulatory matters and the Bank’s internal credit risk management frameworks
Conduct research on various topics and produce reports on new sectors, new countries, and regulatory frameworks related to the Branch’s credit portfolio when required on an ad-hoc basis
Attend bank meetings, industry events, conferences, and seminars
In coordination with the middle-back team, complete the administrative processes such as KYC and initial processing work for operations
3+ years of Project Finance experience at a Bank or Financial Institution
~ Knowledge of renewable energy, credit analysis, due diligence, ratings, and cash flow
~ Strong Excel and Financial Modeling experience
~ Spanish fluency is advantageous but not required
~ Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
