Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire.] Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.As an embedded software engineer for our Idaho Scientific group, youll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for designing and deploying secure system solutions through novel CPU design, crypto cores, purpose-built system-on-a-chip architectures, and hardened operating systems. Our solutions are the foundation for how military systems will remain safe and secure in the conflicts of the future.
Strong foundation in relevant coursework or projects: embedded C/C++, RTOS, digital logic, Verilog/SystemVerilog, FPGA development, or ASIC design flow.
Evidence of hands-on problem solving: personal, academic, internship, lab, or open-source work that shows candidates can design, debug, test, and document technical solutions.
Curiosity and collaboration: clear communication, willingness to learn quickly, and an ability to work thoughtfully with hardware and software engineers in a security-focused environment.
Clear understanding of the software engineering concepts, principles, theories, software development process, and agile methodology
Clear understanding of the software development process, with agile experience
Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation
Flexible schedules with every other Friday off work, if desired (9/80 schedule)

This position is ideally fully on-site while you learn, but some flex arrangements are available based on manager discretion
