The Integrative Engineering & Technology Solutions (IETS) department is looking for an Integrative Engineer Intern (also named an IETS Analyst Intern) to join our dynamic team of professionals. This role offers learning opportunities through independent study, formal training, mentorship, and on the job practice. The objective is for the IETS Analyst Intern to acquire the knowledge and skills to work collaboratively within the IETS team, performing tasks as assigned.

Learn, apply, and follow applicable company procedures, project requirements, and Systems Engineering standards, including relevant Kiewit Engineering procedures, INCOSE guidance, and ISO/IEEE 15288 principles.
Review contract, client, standard, code, and regulation documents to identify, interpret, and document technical and non-technical requirements.
Use project tools, templates, trackers, and SharePoint-based workflows to organize requirements information, maintain current project data, and support reporting or dashboard updates.
Coordinate and communicate with discipline teams, project stakeholders, and supervisors to collect input, clarify requirements, resolve comments, and complete assigned Systems Engineering tasks.
Support continuous improvement of Kiewit Requirements Management and Systems Engineering processes by identifying lessons learned, process gaps, and opportunities to improve templates, workflows, and project execution
Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel
Experience with Python and SQL
Knowledge of Requirements Management Tools (IBM DOORS, IBM DOORS NG, Helix ALM, Visure, or Jama Connect) – an asset
Knowledge of Systems Engineering fundamentals including V-model lifecycle – an asset.
Knowledge of the following Requirements Management practices – an asset:
Systems and software engineering – Life cycle processes – Requirements engineering,
System and Software Engineering – System Lifecycle Processes, and
Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
• Work overtime and weekends as required.
