Pratt and Whitney Engine Design and Systems Integration (EDSI) is seeking a Systems Engineering Intern with interest in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), to support next-generation propulsion programs. Candidate will also be involved in Pratt & Whitney’s digital transformation initiatives and be a contributor to P&W EDSI standard work. This position provides the opportunity to be involved with cutting-edge digital engineering capabilities for advanced military and commercial propulsion programs. Develop Systems Engineering Models in order to perform systems engineering tasks including:
Deriving and analyzing requirements, defining system logical and physical architectures, defining interfaces, requirements analysis, defining system logical and physical architectures, defining interfaces, verification planning, and trade studies
Interface with engineering leads, team members, and other discipline teams and provide task progress updates
Participate in customer and/or internal technical reviews throughout the product lifecycle
Ensure consistent application of engineering best practices and comply with EDSI standard work
Must have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or STEM major obtained by start date.
Prior internship or co-op experience in the aerospace and defense industry
Experience using a SysML or UML tool, such as IBM Rhapsody ®, Cameo/Magic Draw ®, or equivalent
Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability in responding to new business challenges
