Structured Finance Ratings Advisory SVP/Director

Job Description

BBVA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join the Debt Advisory team within the firm’s Investment Banking & Finance (IB&F) vertical.
ii) Liaising with rating agencies, acting as a bridge to optimize structures and develop strategies for clients using securitization and project finance solutions.
(They will interact with other teams as needed, including Client Coverage, Project Finance and Debt Capital Markets.

Relevant work experience: Strong background in (ideally both): (a) securitized products , and (b) infrastructure transactions for the US Private Placement and project bond market.
Proficiency in various off-the-run asset-backed structures across the digital infrastructure space (data centers, fiber, cell towers etc.), power generation & transmission, and esoteric assets .
Proficiency in rating infrastructure project bonds , preferably for the US Private Placement market
Developing appropriate debt sizing at various ratings levels by manipulating financial models
Working closely with BBVA’s securitization and project bond bankers
Experience with legal ringfencing, CLOs and CMBS is a plus
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint etc.
Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Math, Engineering, or related field
Fluent in English (working knowledge of Spanish is a plus, but not required).

With respect to this position in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $200,000 to $250,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
