Finance Manager – Project Controls & Business Finance
Our client is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the financial oversight of a complex, project-driven business. This role is ideal for a finance professional who excels in project controlling , operational finance, and partnering with leadership to drive profitability and performance.
This is not a traditional accounting role. The successful candidate will serve as the financial lead for large-scale projects, ensuring accurate forecasting, cost control, risk management, cash flow visibility, and overall project financial performance.

Lead all aspects of project controlling , including project budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, revenue recognition, and profitability analysis
Partner with project managers and operational leaders to monitor project performance and improve financial outcomes
Develop and maintain project financial models, KPIs, and reporting dashboards
Analyze project variances and provide actionable recommendations to improve margins and operational efficiency
Support contract reviews, risk assessments, and change order analysis from a financial perspective
Oversee cash flow forecasting and working capital management across project portfolios
Provide management with timely financial reporting and strategic insights to support decision-making
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, and reporting capabilities

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
~10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience
~ Significant experience in project controlling , project finance, or project-based business environments
~ Strong understanding of project accounting, financial analysis, forecasting, and performance reporting
~ Experience supporting large-scale projects within industrial, engineering, manufacturing, construction, infrastructure, or related industries preferred
~ Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities
~ CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
~ Proven ability to influence business leaders through data-driven insights
